I'm going to try to start writing here again. I was enjoying writing in a physical journal for a week or so there but then depression took the little energy doing that ritual gave me. Not much has changed since I last wrote an update here. My original plan was to only stick around in Columbia until the end of the year. Yesterday was my last day working at the local library as a shelver. On Christmas Day I'm going to travel to Florida to visit my parents for a couple of weeks. In mid-January I plan on going to Chicago to house/pet-sit for a friend, all while I continue to look for work and an apartment. I might go back to Champaign or maybe stay in Chicago, it all depends on what I find. All I know is that I want to stay in the Midwest. I've been in contact with a librarian friend of mine in a similar position and it seems like she is having the same type of problems trying to find work.

I cleaned the apartment some and started the packing process.

Currently in Florida with my family. The past few days I've just been taking it easy, getting used to the daily rhythms of living with family again. I'm now trying to organize my thoughts about next month and next year. Explained D&D to my dad today which was a little bit of a struggle but we got there.
